Title : Darkmere Author : Helen Maslin Series : Standalone Genre : Young Adult, ghost, thriller, mystery Publisher : Chicken House Published : 6th of August 2015 Synopsis A castle. A curse. A dangerous summer. Leo has invited Kate and a few friends to spend the summer at his inheritance, Darkmere Castle: as wild and remote as it is beautiful. Kate thinks it will be the perfect place for her and Leo to get together - but instead, she's drawn into the dark story of a young nineteenth-century bride who haunts the tunnels and towers of the house. And whose curse now hangs over them all. Review In a sudden bout of desire for a ghost YA story I searched high and low for something of this calibre until it was recommended to me by a good friend. Review I thought long and hard about which book to review first and decided that nothing could be more fitting than a review about a book that is quintessentially what this blog is all about: a deep love for books, how they bring people together in a variety of ways and let us be who we want to be...

Reading Unconventional...

I'm currently reading Unconventional by Maggie Harcourt and this section made me laugh out loud so much I just had to share it! Because, embarrassingly as this is going to sound, this is pretty much what goes through my head at conventions when I see someone who I absolutely love!  And you can all be honest because i know you think it too :p

Welcome all!

Welcome one, welcome all! This is a blog dedicated to reviewing, discussing, and just plain enjoying one of mankind's greatest inventions (in our humble opinion!), the written word. Purely for the love of one of our favourite pastimes we're hoping to invite and encourage fellow book lovers and bibliophiles to share in our  peaceful, and hopefully welcoming, little world within the vastness of the universe that is the internet. Sharing the passion we do, inevitably, vary in taste regarding the specific genre of books that you'll find here. Although happy to read and review almost anything our main go-to escapes sit within the YA, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy genres, of which will be the primary theme throughout our pages.  This blog continues on from one The Library Mouse and looks to regularly post and be an informal discussion and review board. Suggestions, topics, and all things book related are welcomed and encouraged here and we look forward to sharing this beautif...
